What You Need to Play What’s on your Phone?
Enough copies of our FREE printable What’s On Your Phone? game cards so that every guest has one.
Each guest will need a smartphone (it’s in the name of the game!)
Set the Scene: When you’re ready to begin playing, introduce the What’s on Your Phone? game. Let them know they’ll be searching through their phones to find specific items, designed to show off their personalities and their connection to the bride.
The List of Items: Give everyone the game cards with the list of items they need to find. You can make it as easy or as challenging as you like, but a mix of fun and lighthearted prompts will keep things interesting.
Start the Hunt: It’s up to you whether or not you want players to go through their phones at their own pace (if so, than 5-10 minutes is good) or if you want to call out each item in order and have guests search their phones as you read off the list. In our experience, the latter option can be more interactive as people talk about the item they’ve found.
Score It: Each item found equals a corresponding point total and the player with the most total points wins! Decide if you want to add “bonus points” for particular types of items.
Declare the Winner: At the end, the guest with the most points gets a fun prize! Maybe a cute phone case, a scented candle, or even a fun “phone addict” mug—anything that ties in with the theme or the bride’s personality.
Extra Tips for the Game
Be Flexible: If some of your guests aren’t super tech-savvy or don’t have many apps, give them a bit of leeway. The goal is fun, not stress. If they don’t have a smartphone, maybe pair them up with someone who does.
