What You’ll Need to Play

Pens or pencils for all guests
A designated “game master” or facilitator to explain the rules
A prize for the guest with the funniest or most accurate prediction (optional)
How to Play
Set Up the Game Give each guest a MASH game sheet and a pen. The MASH sheet has categories for various predictions, Job, Honeymoon Destination, Number of Pets, Dream Vacation Activity, number of children, and even Funny Celebrity Guests at the Wedding. Our printable game cards have a version with the categories filled in and a blank version for you to come up with your own categories. Each category will include 4 possible options.
Filling Out the Sheet To get started, guests will fill out the categories with their own 4 creative choices. If desired, you can provide some broad preferences from the Bride. For example, under “dream honeymoon,” they might write Paris, a tropical island, or even the moon! Encourage guests to be creative and include at least 1 out-there choice!
The Drawing Process The game master will guide everyone to draw a spiral on their sheet until they say “stop”. This part is what makes the game unique for each player! The size and pattern of the swirl will be different for everyone, and the guest has to count the number of loops drawn to determine how many times they must count through the categories.
The Elimination Process Now begins the process of elimination, using the spiral marks as the count (“magic number”). Starting with the MASH options at the top and moving down through each category, count each option until you reach the magic number. When that number is reached, cross off the option you landed on. Then start your count again, continuing around the page – skip the marked-off options – until you only have 1 option left in each category.
The Final Prediction As each prediction category is narrowed down, the player will be left with their final fate—whether it’s an ideal job or an unexpected number of kids! The suspense of the game builds, and guests can’t wait to see what unique or dreamy predictions will be made. Let guests take it in turns to share their views of the bride’s “future”.

Add Personal Touches: To make the game even more tailored, ask the bride beforehand for her preferences or quirky wishes, then pre-fill those in the categories. It’s a great way to inject personality into the predictions.
